It's Brunch O'clock... in Cyprus!

One of the first things people that know me well notice is that I love food (see other posts in this blog!). But there is one thing that people that know me veeeery well wil tell you: my favorite meal of the day is brunch. I would never never ever say no to someone inviting me to one!

My passion for brunches led me to try "all" the places in Cyprus and decide which ones are worth it. This way, if you are just visiting Cyprus and you want to go out for brunch, you don't have to make a choice: I will tell you all about the best places where to have one :)

I will start from my number one: Edem's Yard. The first time I went to Edem's, I hated it even before setting foot inside the restaurant (funny way to start listing my favorite place, I know, but keep reading). I was with my friends after we planned a day at the beach but we were also hungry. Someone suggested we go to this "amazing" place. When we arrived, a long queue in front of the restaurant put me immediately in my "I am hungry and grumpy" mood. I couldn't understand why there were so many people waiting outside while it did not look that "amazing" from the outside. In fact, if it wasn't for the queue, I wouldn't even have noticed the whole place!

After half an hour of waiting, we finally got a seat and I was immediately mesmerized by the green atmosphere inside. The garden is just amazing and the music puts you in a happy mood (although it can be too loud sometimes). On top of this, the food was just great and tasty to the point that it is always hard to decide what to try (we ended up ordering many things and sharing).

Edem's also offers a new meal every weekend which is unique and never let you get bored with their menu (not that the fixed menu is boring...on the contrary).

My second favorite place is in Nicosia. While Edem's is specialized in brunches, this is a restaurant that offers brunch as well: Ivory All Day Concept.

Ivory is my favorite restaurant in Nicosia regardless of the brunch but it does have an amazing one. The atmosphere is great and very chic, the personnel is very nice and the place is just so classy and relaxing!

The first time I discovered this place was for a brunch and I immediately decided for it to become my favorite restaurant. Edem's is still my number one but unfortunately I don't live in Larnaca. The other pro here in Ivory is that you don't have to wait, you can make a reservation and you will be sure to be seated at the time that suits you (I like this place so much that I celebrated my 29th birthday there...needless to say, it was a great dinner).

P.s make sure to book the table outside if the weather is nice, you will not regret it!

Finally, number three is...drum roll... The Boys At Number Five.

I have tried this place only once, not because I didn't like it but because as I said at the beginning, I like to try as many places and I already have my favorite ones when I just want to go for something safe and that I love. This place is a hidden gem since the restaurant is not directly on the street but it's behind a building (don't worry if after you've followed google maps you think you're lost, you're not!). The atmosphere is very informal (unlike Ivory) and it's not loud at all (unlike Edem's). I was just a bit disappointed by the food: it was really good but when you try Edem's and Ivory, I think you just start having really high expectations from brunches :)

If you love brunches like me and you are spending time in Cyprus, make sure to pay a visit to these places...you will not regret it.
